Urban Community

Medical Missions

These are volunteer doctors and paramedical professionals of WordComm headed by Dr. Adriel "Boying" Guerrero. The bulk of the doctors and dentists come from Care Channels, headed by Dr Malyn Vilar. Their ministry caters to giving medical missions throughout the country.

These volunteer doctors and medical professionals are very busy and they devote a huge amount of their time helping the poor communities thru medical missions. Medical Missions is one of our best ways to express God's love in the urban communities.

Kanlungan

Is one of the Missions outreach program of WordComm in the Urban Community. This is a group of WordComm Christian volunteers led by Sis Bong Ebrada and Sis Gigi Aguilar and their members, Chic Arabit, Eve Lanuza, Efren Aguilar, Zaldy Lanuza, Eugene Arabit and Tito Ebrada. They hold regular Bible study every Saturday; instilling Godly values and character formation to the children (ages 4 - 13 yrs old) of Sitio Paltok, Mascardo and now in Corazon de Jesus, San Juan. Some of the women in Sitio Paltok, have been trained to teach the children and are now assisting every Saturday. Ptr Ed Matias is also leading a new outreach in the Oranbo Community of Pasig City.

Outreach Schedule: Every Saturday from 9am – 11:30am, Barangay Hall, Corazon de Jesus, Lt. Artiaga St., San Juan City

Invitation to participate in Kanlungan:

1. As a Volunteer Worker (Teacher or Assistant) – This doesn’t have to be every Saturday and will depend on your availability.

2. Give donations for children’s snacks&drinks
3. Give donations for school supplies (e.g. notebooks, pad papers, ballpens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, rulers, school bags, others)

4. Financial donations should be given directly to WordComm under Missions.

5. As a volunteer Small Group Leader in the Community

Adopt-a-family

Helping the poor and the underprivileged by providing a channel for the rich to show their love by sharing their blessings to selected poor and deserving families. The hope is that the word of God will become alive in the family that we adopt as we show our kindness and compassion. This is a pathway to creating Christian community in the area.
